The Gnostic view of Mary Magdalene is great, & I also believe that Jesus wanted her to lead his Church because Anne Catherine Emmerich said so – {one of the greatest mystical visionaries of all time.} At the very least, she was the best friend of Holy Mary & worked together with her & she was the chief financier of Jesus’ work. This underscores for me why it’s beneficial for me to call part of my Order the Mary Magdaene set – because she preached spiritual autonomy & independence – that’s what “Woman Thou Art God” is about – we need a New Religion where women worship the God WITHIN – Within their own soul. But most of the Gnostics I have heard want EQUALITY between men & women. William Bond says & I agree – men don’t understand nor can they live in an equality setting. I believe, like William, women should run the family& the world & so that is the only way I differ with the various organized Gnostic. If Jesus wanted Mary Magdalene to lead his Church, let’s do it. No equality, women run the church.
