So evil! Part and parcel of patriarchy, basically. And still to this day, under late capitalism / neoliberalism, today's master class (employers) and its overseers ("supervisors", literally the Latinized word for "overseers") still (in the USA) often forces (i.e. economically coerces) their wage slaves (employees) who become Mothers to "choose" between 1) going back to work almost right away after giving birth, or 2) leaving and never returning. Other modern and even semi-modern countries offer at least SOME paid maternity leave by law, and have a better social safety net in general as well, but even then, many of such countries are often just breadcrumbing them in that regard. The best countries in that regard are the Nordic countries, Netherlands, France, and Canada.
As the French would say, "La plus ca change". The more things change, the more they stay the same...
I have not had time to view this yet as you can see the article I had to create & analyze - but it's scary to see the image. I agree totally. Men running the world don't give a fukk re children. They want to impregnate them & want women to bear the burden of doing all the work training & raising - then they want to use them as wage slaves & canoon fodder. The ones that perish for lack of nurturing they don't care - they just keep impregnating more women. If only women would rise up & refuse to be their breeding slaves.
