The Dairy Industry's 'Dark Secret' - The Killing of Pregnant Cows and
their Calves!!!

Despite the myth of contentment, a dairy cow is the hardest worked of all
farmed animals. She nurtures a growing baby inside her while
simultaneously producing milk - up to 120 pints a day. To keep the flow
going, she is forcibly impregnated every year and her babies are taken
away a day or two after birth -- year, after year. Professor John Webster
describes the removal of the calf as the most potentially distressing
incident in the life of the dairy cow'.

Cows produce milk for a reason. They are female mammals who need to feed
their young -- just like us. And the process which makes it happen is also
the same --pregnancy, birth and suckling. No babies, no milk! The final,
cruel twist is that dairy cows are allowed to suckle their babies for just
a day or two, after which they are taken away. The magical process of
reproduction has been perverted -- cows are no longer seen as mothers
producing food for their babies but milk machines.

A dairy cow's milk begins to dry up nine to 12 months after giving birth,
when her calf would be weaned. This is bad economics so, to keep the milk
flowing, she is artificially inseminated two to three months after giving
birth. The result? A crushing double burden of pregnancy and lactation for
seven months out of every 12. It inevitably takes its toll -- excruciating
mastitis (udder infection), lameness, infertility and low milk yield. A
quarter of all UK cows, mostly under five years old, are killed every year
- physically exhausted.

Many of us need to knock ourselves into consciousness and become part of
the solution! GO VEGAN! That is the only answer to the cruel animal
exploitation.

The case of the disappearing sperm

(NaturalNews) The world is becoming an increasingly hostile place for the
survival and persistence of masculinity, particularly with regards to male
fertility and vitality. A deadly combination of estrogenic toxins in the
food supply; harmful chemicals in the environment, and poor lifestyle is
causing an ongoing and drastic reduction in men's sperm counts, according
to a new study published in the journal Human Reproduction, which
illustrates the continuing decline of men in today's world.

Researchers from France conducted their study specifically on French men
aged 18 to 70, tracking average sperm counts across the country between
the years of 1989 and 2005. According to their findings, sperm counts
among all French men in this age range dropped by about 1.9 percent per
year on average, and by 32.3 percent on average over the course of the
entire 16-year period studied. The number of normally-shaped sperm in men
also dropped by an astounding 33.4 percent during the study period.

"To our knowledge, this is the first study concluding a severe and general
decrease in sperm concentration and morphology at the scale of a whole
country over a substantial period," explained Dr. Joelle Le Moal, an
environmental health epidemiologist and one of the study's authors, about
the findings. "This constitutes a serious public health warning."

Though some have since tried to downplay the findings, claiming average
sperm counts are still within an acceptable and fertile range, the
downward trend observed in the study clearly illustrates a perpetual
decline in male fertility, which more than likely extends far outside the
borders of France and around the world. Based on the figures, average
sperm concentrations dropped from 73.6 million per milliliter (mi/mL)
among 35-year-old men in 1989 to 49.9 mi/mL among the same age group in
2005, highlighting a disastrous situation.

Similar findings have been observed in the U.S. as well, where sperm
counts have been on the decline for more than 50 years, according to
researchers. Bisphenol-A (BPA) and other plastics chemicals, pesticide and
herbicide residues on conventional food, fluoride in the water supply,
radiation-emitting mobile phones and laptop computers, pharmaceutical
drugs, soy-based ingredients laced throughout the food supply -- these and
many other factors are all responsible for the massive decline in male
fertility both in the U.S. and abroad.

"It's most likely a reflection of the fact that many environmental and
lifestyle changes over the past 50 years are inherently detrimental to
sperm production," says Professor Richard Sharpe, a fertility research
expert at the U.K.-based Medical Research Council (MRC), about this
pandemic problem.

(NaturalNews) As lawmakers wax poetic and jockey for political position
ahead of the pending "fiscal cliff," a package of automatic tax hikes and
spending cuts coming Jan. 1 that many economists believe could rekindle
the crippling recession of 2008-09, few of them are talking about the fact

projects that contribute nothing to the "general welfare," but instead go

And yet, too few federal bureaucrats give a second thought to the impact
foolish spending decisions have on the nation's fiscal health - let alone
show any remorse for wasting the taxpayer's money.

DHS is but one example, albeit a huge one, of federal spending run amok

The Department of Homeland Security is a case study in point. As detailed
by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., a physician by trade, the mammoth agency
primarily charged with making Americans safer from potential terrorist
attacks has spent billions in taxpayer money to accomplish little toward
its stated goal.

Some of DHS' most outrageous taxpayer abuses have been singled out by
Coburn, who - along with Senate colleague Rand Paul from Kentucky - has
become one of Congress' leading wasteful spending whistleblowers. Here are
some of the most egregious:

-- The department paid a $1,000 fee out of grant funds for a week-long
conference at the Paradise Point Resort and Spa in San Diego to help pay
for the department's highly promoted "zombie apocalypse" demonstration.
Tactical training firm Strategic Operations was also hired to put on a
"zombie-driven show" as simulation for - get this - a real-life terrorism
event. Can't make this stuff up.

-- The city of Columbus, Ohio, recently purchased an "underwater robot"
using $98,000 in DHS grant money. The purpose? The robot is mounted with a
video camera that transmits a full-color display to a vehicle on shore.
City officials declared the purchase an "emergency," but it was nothing of
the sort; the "emergency" came not in the sense of improving security
around the city, but because grant funding was set to run out and, if not
spent, then the money would have been returned to the Treasury. Egads!

-- Arizona officials used $90,000 in grant funding from the department to
install a video surveillance system at the Peoria, AZ Sports Conference,
where the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres conduct spring training.
So now, "protecting" professional sports franchises is the responsibility
of the taxpayer and the Department of Homeland Security, not the private
interests who own the ball clubs.

-- A number of municipalities - small, medium and large - have used DHS
and other federal grant funding to buy Lenco BearCat armored vehicles (see
them here), which are highly specialized, for even the most tenuous of
"security" reasons - like "protecting" the Kean, N.H., Pumpkin Festival,
not exactly a high-priority target for terrorists.

-- The Seattle Police Department used $41,000 in grant funds to purchase a
DraganFlyer X6 remote-controlled helicopter for "traffic accident
surveillance," all the while insisting it is not a drone. But what is its
anti-terrorism purpose? Well, that's a good question, since Seattle P.D.
officials have said the DraganFlyer can only fly as high as 400 feet,
cannot be flown over crowds and, again, is used mainly for traffic
accidents.

It ain't hard to find places to cut spending

These are just a few examples and the amount only adds up to a couple
hundred thousand dollars. But the fact is federal agencies spend hundreds
of billions in taxpayer dollars every single year, much of it either on
bureaucratic salaries and goofy programs. Moreover, the mindset that "we
have to spend all that we are budgeted this year or we won't get as much
money next year" is a cancer that has spread throughout all government
agencies - state and federal - as well as the military.

So it's no wonder there is no incentive among bureaucracies to be good
stewards of the taxpayer's money.

"Finding areas of savings should not be difficult. Today's federal budget
is littered with economic superfund sites - cesspools of waste,
duplication, cronyism and parochialism. Cleaning up these sites will heal,
rather hurt, our economy," says Coburn.

According to a study by psychologists from the University of Utah and
University of Kansas, backpackers scored 50 percent better on a creativity
test after spending four days in nature without any electronic devices
like cell phones and laptops. "This is a way of showing that interacting
with nature has real, measurable benefits to creative problem-solving that
really hadn't been formally demonstrated before," David Strayer, a
co-author of the study and professor of psychology at the University of
Utah, said in a press statement. "It provides a rationale for trying to
understand what is a healthy way to interact in the world, and that
burying yourself in front of a computer 24/7 may have costs that can be
remediated by taking a hike in nature."

The study by Strayer and University of Kansas psychologists Ruth Ann
Atchley and Paul Atchley was just published in the online journal PLOS
ONE. It involved 56 people (30 men and 26 women) with an average age of 28
who took four-to six-day wilderness hikes. All electronic devices were
strictly banned on the trips, which were organized by the Outward Bound
expedition school in Alaska, Colorado, Maine and Washington state.

"Writers for centuries have talked about why interacting with nature is
important, and lots of people go on vacations," Strayer pointed out. "But
I don't think we know very well what the benefits are from a scientific
perspective." To help measure just how nature helps people potentially
become more creative, the researchers gave 24 of the research subjects a
10-item creativity test the morning before they left for their backpacking
trip. The other 32 took the test on the morning of the trip's fourth day.

The results? "We show that four days of immersion in nature, and the
corresponding disconnection from multimedia and technology, increases
performance on a creativity, problem-solving task by a full 50 percent,"
the study concluded. Specifically, those who had been backpacking four
days scored an average of 6.08 of the 10 questions correctly compared with
an average score of 4.14 for people who had not started the backpacking
trip.

The research team pointed out that their study wasn't designed to
"determine if the effects are due to an increased exposure to nature, a
decreased exposure to technology or the combined influence of these two
factors." However, plenty of earlier research backs up the idea that it is
nature that has beneficial and creativity-boosting effects. For example,
previous studies have shown that being in nature is able to boost
"executive attention," which is the ability to switch among tasks, stay on
task and inhibit distracting actions and thoughts.

"Our modern society is filled with sudden events (sirens, horns, ringing
phones, alarms, television, etc.) that hijack attention," the
psychologists wrote. "By contrast, natural environments are associated
with gentle, soft fascination, allowing the executive attentional system
to replenish."

Although it wasn't discussed in the new study, previous research has shown
that living and working in urban areas instead of being in natural, green
spaces could impact the brain directly because of the effects air
pollution has on it. For example, as Natural News covered earlier, a Ohio
State University study found that long-term exposure to air pollution can
cause changes in the brain that are associated with learning and memory
problems and even depression.

Federal court says free speech protection applies to Big Pharma drugs, but
not nutritional supplements

(NaturalNews) Even while manufacturers of nutritional supplements remain
effectively gagged when it comes to promoting the truthful health
benefits of their own products, a recent federal appeals court decision
appears to give a free pass to pharmaceutical representatives peddling
prescription drugs for "off-label" uses.

Throwing out the previous conviction of Orphan Medical Inc. (now part of
JazzPharmaceuticals Plc.) sales representative Alfred Caronia, the 2nd
Circuit Court of Appeals in New York found that Caronia's rights to free
speech under the First Amendment had been violated. Caronia had been found
guilty in 2008 by a Brooklyn court for improperly promoting the drug Xyrem
(an FDA-approved treatment for narcolepsy and daytime sleepiness related
to narcolepsy) for other "off-label" uses, including muscle disorders,
chronic pain and fatigue. "Off-label" refers to the use of a drug as a
treatment for conditions other than those specifically approved by the
FDA.

Caronia's actions were determined to be a violation of the federal Food,
Drug & Cosmetic Act, and he was sentenced to one year of probation plus
100 hours of community service. But Caronia appealed that decision, and
the appeals court agreed with him, finding that drug companies and sales
representatives should have the same rights as doctors do, in promoting
FDA-approved drugs for off-label uses.

Writing for the 2-1 majority, Circuit Judge Denny Chin pointed out, "In
the fields of medicine and public health, where information can save
lives, it only furthers the public interest to ensure that decisions about
the use of prescription drugs, including off-label usage, are intelligent
and well-informed." The ruling cited a 2011 U.S. Supreme Court decision in
which speech used for purposes of drug marketing was found to be a
protected form of expression under the Constitution.

Decision ignores plight of dietary supplement manufacturers
But though this inalienable rights to free speech and expression may be
obvious to some, it apparently is less obvious to others -- namely the
FDA, which unfairly discriminates against manufacturers of dietary
supplements by making it impossible for them to share the health benefits
of their products with customers in any reasonable way.

Under current law, any food or dietary supplement purported to offer any
kind of health benefit (think those based on ordinary foods too, like
cherries and almonds) is immediately reclassified as a "drug," and
therefore subject to the same labor-intensive, multi-million dollar FDA
approval process required for prescription pharmaceuticals. (Not that the
process does much to protect the public from the dangers of toxic
conventional medicine, mind you. But, of course, the government wants its
share of the profits, especially as alternative remedies gain in market
popularity). And so manufacturers of dietary supplements have little
recourse: either keep quite about the health benefits of their products,
or be subject to regulatory action. In this way, the FDA is playing
terrorist to an entire industry of dietary supplements, which it currently
holds hostage -- or for ransom, if you will.

Without question, the stark contrast inherent in this criminally dubious
double-standard is only further accentuated in light of the recent New
York appeals court decision. In his majority statement, Judge Chin went on
to say, "The First Amendment directs us to be especially skeptical of
regulations that seek to keep people in the dark for what the government
perceives to be their own good."

Exactly. So what will it take to spark skepticism strong enough to lead
the country out of this present darkness? So long as manufacturers of
dietary supplements are unable to share the benefits of their products, at
least as freely as big drug companies are allowed to spread their own
claims, the government and the courts of this land have positioned
themselves on the inevitably losing side in an ongoing battle between the
oppressive forces of greed, and those among us seeking truth, freedom and
health.

agencies lays out "megatrends" leading up to the year 2030. What does the

(NaturalNews) The latest report from the National Intelligence Council
explores megatrends that will impact America through 2030. The report is a
jaw-dropper, as it openly explains that America will be overtaken by China
as the world's dominant economic superpower. It also lays out the
likelihood of megatrends such as global economic collapse, wars over food
and water, energy scarcity and the rise of the individual against the
state.

The full report is available as a download from the National Intelligence
Council website.

"In terms of the indices of overall power -- GDP, population size,
military spending and technological investment -- Asia will surpass North
America and Europe combined," the report concludes. Rather than the world
being dominated by a single superpower as it is now, China will be the
global force to be reckoned with, it says.

The report also warns that if the U.S. government collapses or suddenly
weakens, it would set off "global anarchy." This is especially worrisome,
given the accelerating financial debt blowout strategy being pursued by
President Obama, who has added more debt to the federal government (by
far) than any other President in U.S. history. Now at $16.3 trillion, the
national debt is only accelerating, putting the nation on a collision
course with certain economic collapse.

The rise of China has already begun
Just this week, China has been seen buying up key assets from the U.S.
private sector. A Chinese firm recently won the bid for U.S. battery maker
A123, one of the darling alternative energy companies highlighted by the
Obama administration. Now, Wanxiang Group Corp. will be purchasing the
company for $256 million.

Also today, a Chinese consortium group is purchasing AIG's aircraft
leasing business ILFC for a whopping $4.8 billion, giving China a ready
network of private aircraft worldwide.

According to Reuters, China went on a "deal-making spree" in 2012,
spending $56.8 billion on acquisitions. A Chinese company has also
recently purchased a Canadian energy company Nexen for $15.1 billion.

Earlier this year, a Chinese firm also purchased the AMC movie theater
chain for $2.6 billion, giving China near-total control over what movies
are shown in America. This has already resulted in one striking piece of
editorial censorship with the movie "Red Dawn" which was painstakingly
altered to change Chinese enemy soldiers to North Korean soldiers in order
to appease the Chinese government. If the film had not been altered, it
certainly would not have been shown in AMC theaters, now owned by the
Chinese. This is how communist Chinese propaganda has already reached U.S.
shores.

We pay China to take over America
So the way this works is that Americans buy cheap plastic crap
manufactured in China and sold at Wal-Mart, then China uses that money to
turn around and buy America's energy companies, technology companies and
infrastructure hubs. Little by little, China takes over America's economy
and businesses. This is part of the strategy of how China achieves global
dominance by 2030.

The rise of China is just of one the many trends outlined in the report.
Also noted are the demographic aging of the global population, the
continued rise of the population and the urbanization of the population
(i.e. more people living in cities). The global population is expected to
hit 8.3 billion by 2030, barring the release of a global pandemic which is
also flagged by the intelligence report as a possibility. (They most
likely know this because they are the same people planning on releasing a
deadly pandemic bioweapon as a form of "population control.")

Food demand will rise 35 percent by 2030, the report warns, and global
demand for fresh water will rise 40 percent, reaching 6,900 billion cubic
meters. This level of demand is simply not possible to meet with today's
water infrastructure, and the report predicts the rise of regional water
wars in Africa and the Middle East, along with severe shortages in India
and China.

The report also predicts that global climate change will cause increased
radicalization of crops and food production, further worsening resource
shortages. Whether a fluke or part of a large pattern, we have clearly
seen radicalized weather in North America over the past few years, with
500-year droughts devastating the Midwest this year, and another 500-year
drought slamming Texas last year. This has sent price shockwaves
throughout the food and feed industries, and food inflation is on track to
hit hard in February of 2013.

Also mentioned in the report is the "energy independence" of the USA,
which is achieved by exploitation of the huge deposits of oil shale that
have already been identified in America. The report concludes that this
energy can be extracted in large volumes, returning America to complete
energy independence. It does not, however, discuss the environmental
impact of extracting and processing all this shale oil.

A tri-polar "liberal world order" with the USA, China and Russia
Some of the language of the report seems to point in the direction of
global governance. The report often talks about a "Liberal Order" and
"World Order" as if this is the default desirable goal of government.

The report assumes that cooperation among the three world powers -- USA,
China and Russia -- always makes for a better future. It says that a
strong USA is important for global stability and that a weakened U.S.
government would foment global instability.

Nowhere in the report does it cover the U.S. government's fall into
tyranny and oppression via the NDAA, the highly abusive TSA, the rise of
the NSA surveillance state or other areas of concern. Instead, the report
supposes that China and Russia might experience a "collapse of
authoritarianism" and become democratic partners with America. (And yes,
America today has already experience a collapse of liberty!)

America is no longer democratic, however, even in 2012. Vote fraud is
rampant, the money supply is controlled by a private banking cartel called
the Federal Reserve, and the Bill of Rights has been obliterated by the
Patriot Act, the NDAA and other oppressive laws enacted over the last
decade. If China suddenly abandons authoritarianism, it will once again
find itself opposite the United States which has now openly embraced it.
America is emerging as the new North Korea. Not even in communist China do
air travelers get sexually molested by government thugs before being
allowed to board airplanes.

Questioning the National Intelligence Council's intelligence
In summary, I have to question the intelligence of this report. It glosses
over the real trends of the future -- such as the rise of tyranny in
America -- while proposing many trends that don't seem to line up with
reality.

You'd be far better informed subscribing to Gerald Celente's Trends
Research Journal (www.TrendsResearch.com) which gives you an independent,
well-informed look at what's coming in our future.

InfoWars.com also has a far better track record of predicting the future
than any number of government intelligence agencies. Alex Jones, for
example, correctly and accurately predicted the attack on the 9/11 Twin
Towers, months before they took place.

Government "intelligence" agencies have a highly distorted view of reality
that comes from a grossly misplaced faith in government itself. Yet what
we really see happening in our world is the global failure of governments
across Greece, Spain, Japan, America and elsewhere.

The real trend for 2030 is the mass awakening of the individual as people
come to realize just how oppressive and evil government has become. As
that happens, the people of the world recognize that they have been
abused, exploited and ripped off by the governments of the world. The
People will rise up against corruption, private cartel banking, oppressive
taxation and North Korea-style oppression of freedom and liberty.

That's the trend the government's intelligence groups will never see
coming because none of them are in touch with real people who work for a
living in the private sector (the real world). To work in government,
feeding off government and promoting government delusions is to live in a
total fantasy land that denies reality. Only those who work in the private
sector have an accurate view of economic reality.

By 2030, the United States of America will have already suffered economic
collapse and possibly even a popular revolt or revolution. Liberty will
rise up against its oppressors, and the global banking cartels will either
rule the world or their leaders will have been executed, depending on
whether the People awaken in time to save their own futures from economic
destruction.

The real trend of 2030 is that America is already an occupied nation ruled
and run by Goldman Sachs operatives which include Obama. Elite bankster
insiders are attempting to take over the world, and they have already
achieved huge successes in that quest across the globe. Can they be
stopped before they destroy economic freedom and crush national economies?
That's the real question the intelligence agencies should be asking... if
they had any real intelligence.
