Interestingly, I myself had a *possible* near-death experience (NDE) on July 7, 2003 when I was in a really bad car accident at age 19. I was knocked unconscious for a little while due to a concussion after losing control during a very bad storm, and going into a tree on Route 9 in Fishkill, NY (see, there's Fishkill once again!), and I don't remember the accident at all. Only thing I remember before waking up (or coming to) in the hospital was while I was unconscious, I was briefly in a "dark place" (not exactly pleasant) of some sort before coming back to Earth, as it was not my time to go yet. Maybe it was just a dream, or maybe it truly was an NDE. But upon seeing or hearing what the totaled car looked like afterwards, everyone was surprised I miraculously survived such a horrible freak crash.
