How witty can you get?  Pete says it all re our current political climate:

 Fair enough, William.  I can be negative at times as well, as the world we currently live in is very negative, unfortunately.  The political situation in the UK sounds a lot like it is here on this side of the pond in the USA. It's basically a farcical dog and pony show between the two wings of the same ugly gargoyle, that is, the neoliberal corporate duopoly.  And while one side may be the somewhat "lesser evil", that is still a pitifully low bar to clear.
