Dear Lady, Beloved of God,
Thank you for your gracious answer to my letter. The implicit invitation that I phone you, was an unexpected honor. I feel I am unworthy, but that is not the reason I decided not to phone you. I was afraid you would not understand me; I was afraid you might quickly become angry with me, and dismiss me as just "another strait-laced Roman Catholic", before I could explain myself to you.
I have studied all the writings you have posted on your site. The teaching on the Interior Stigmata, was especially illuminating to me. My dark night of the soul has lasted, with some periods of respite, for 25 years. I never understood that I was living out the defeat and despair which Our Lord felt on the Cross. Of course I was, for I am of His Body and it isn't I who live, but Christ through me. Thank you for that.

Of your more recent concepts, of the MotherGod: none of it was new to me. Every single concept, almost every single phrase, is contained within the manuscripts of novels yet unpublished. And then some, and then much more. If I sent you an excerpt from one of my novels, you might well for a moment think I was quoting from your website. In one, my protagonist gives this final formulation of her faith: "Mother is our Creator; what truth could be more simple? Mother is pure sweetness; how could God be any less?"
I wrote this stuff back in the '90s. I wrote of "woman-led relationships", "mother-led families" and "loving authority", years before Elise Sutton. I honestly believed I invented the concepts.

I have never known patriarchy, except as something those around me practiced and believed. My mother was the acknowledged head of our family, growing up; my parents were not shy about it. They considered it perfectly normal. I have only been in woman-led relationships, and I am in one now.
As for matriarchy, I am sure it would at least be an improvement. At the societal level, of course, but within the family especially.
Like me, you appear to have right-wing leanings. I adored your talk of spiritual war, and all your poses with the sword. You know that you are physically one of the most beautiful women on earth. What do you think of Bachman, even Palin, in 2012?

I have lost all patience with Protestant Evangelicals. I am tired of them telling me that Catholics are not Christians, that we worship (rather than revere) Our Blessed Mother, when everything they say and do exalts and worships men. All their talk of male leadership, male stewardship, the male as head over the body, male this and male that is less than meaningless to me. I have unbounded zeal for, and steadfast devotion to, a woman in that role. That's how I am and I can't change it, even if I thought I should.

The patriarchal, misogynist stuff in the pastoral letters is clearly a nod to the evil realities of the culture surrounding the Church at that time. "In Christ is neither male nor female, slave nor free, Jew nor Greek"- what happened to that verse?

"God made woman a helpmeet fit for man": I have been shown, the Hebrew there is tweaked. "power equal to" is a more accurate translation, and rabbinic tradition accepts either translation.

I should now come to my point, that woman is by definition a creature. Not the Creator.
God is both Father and Mother. God is neither man nor woman; God is God. That is why I never call God "He". I say God, or Ha Shem, or An Suf which means, "the Limitless". I don't have to abandon the Sacraments, the Apostle's Creed or Trinity. God is deeper and higher and broader than we can imagine. The Church has embraced Science: it can also embrace the cultural change we both believe is right.
