He says 'heart disease begins at age TEN - raised on the standard American diet - children already have STREAKS in their arteries {fat streaks I guess he means} the PLAQUE begins in their 20's - after that you're moving toward you know what....I was so fooled by the egg industry. They told me that the lecithin in eggs dissolves the cholesterol in the yolk! Must be a lie. I was eating about 10 eggs a week average. Also cheeze. Casein in milk causes cancer {which I never got thank God}. They did tests on mice.
I believe what caused me to have abnormal cholesterol levels was the eggs & cheeze, which I ate a lot of - did not eat lots of meat, only boiled chicken maybe once or twice a week - other meats on Holidays, & I used OLIVE OIL daily - which is supposed to break down cholesterol - must be another lie. I think it was eggs & cheeze that made my cholesterol count 360 - which is DEADLY & I wrongly thought I was on a GOOD DIET! - Because I ate vitamins & herbs DAILY - lots of them, & also good stuff, the plant-based stuff as well. Pete, William did not hound me but I'm going to hound you I don't care if you get mad. At the very least, add all the good stuff to your diet & cut down on meat, oil, & dairy. You said 'I did not promise'. Am I trying to hurt you? Stop being so obstinate. You were like that re VACCINES. Remember how we argued but you REFUSED to believe they were bad & the Oligarchs are against us? I pleaded my case but you said we'll have to agree to disagree. Sadly, you fell to their lies & got shots. Don't fight this this time. I know EXACTLY how you feel. Mediterranean diet is GOOD. But it is NOT. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks on the plant based diet. I will repair my heart - have 8 blockages - they said I should have open heart - the next day I finally LISTENED to my friend William who's been following this diet for 10 years - I started it. It has NOT been easy but I don't care how BAD some of the meals taste {I don't have all the ingredients, recipees & know-how for this yet} I will stick to it because I WANT TO LIVE & want to live ABUNDANTLY. This diet not only heals heart disease but prevents& heals CANCER & MANY OTHER MALADIES. This Patriarchal world is on the road to sickness, disease & unappiness. 'Without knowledge a people perish.' The ones that control POLICIES such as what the surgeon general recommends - what SCHOOL LUNCHES SERVE, are a bunch of dim witted, believe in lies people. They believe that OLD husband's tale that ANIMAL PROTEIN & MILK are healthy & THEY ARE NOT!!! Some of those deciding our nation's food policies are committed to INDUSTRY such as the diary industry or meat industry - they might KNOW what is right but they don't care or else, they don't WANT to study & learn because they are PAID to promote lies - lies that destroy our health & well being. Friends, save yourself! Stop meat, fat-filled dairy, egg yolks, OIL & eat whole grain foods like Oatmeal & rice - leafy greens like Kale, spinach, broccoli, etc, vegetables, berries & fruits EVERY DAY EVERY MEAL & eat your way to health & happiness.
Rasa, like I said before, I will think about and *consider* what you said, but no promises from me. And FWIW, the more people (anyone) hound me, the more I tend to tune it out. We will just have to respectfully agree to disagree about this diet's applicability to the general population I guess, just like we have done with some other issues. At the end of the day, I'm not you.

I personally think there is at least a kernel of truth to it, but I still think the science behind its overall applicablility to the general population is a bit shaky at best. Not to cast any aspersions on anyone, of course, but I think I will go with my gut on this as far as myself is considered. (For the record, I don't eat any dairy at all since it doesn't agree with me since I was a little kid, I do eat meat but not quite as as much as when I was younger, and I can't stand mayo. I do indulge in various foods that may not be the healthiest, but I try to also balance it with healthy stuff too.) For you though, I fully support you doing it though, as it will likely be beneficial for you. As the saying goes, "every body is different".

Pete - I will not be dissuaded by your refusal. What I sincerely believe is that you DO NOT WANT TO KNOW what these studies prove, you want to stay the way you are - make excuses for it - & block the preachers. Have you listened sincerely to Dr. Esseltyn or Dr. Ornish? My guess is NO. And you out of hand condemn their findings & studies as if you DID. But you DID NOT. {I KNOW you did not because if you heard about the endothelial cells, how it is the LINING of the arteries & produces a GAS called nitric oxide which keeps the blood flowing SMOOTHLY - nitric acid also the strongest blood vessal DILATOR & also protects the arteries from becoming thick, stiff or inflamed. It protects us from blockages. The NORMAL diet Americans eat INJURES the endothelial cells - this includes all oils, meats, dairy, etc, all animal products & - also chewing things like Kale restores the capacity of our BONE NARROW to make the endothelial cell PROGENITOR cell.} You do not want to know the truth We all get ADDICTED to our lifestyle & habits & it takes a heap of reason to change. We get addicted to what we THINK we know. I thought my diet was terrific. I lost 44 lbs. I believed so many LIES although I've been studying nutrition my entire adult life, starting age 19 with Adele Davis on Vitamins. Been taking mega vitamins all my life daily since 19. Studied Dr. Richard Schultze, herbalist & became a vegetarian for 14 years - Made tinctures, poutices, plague tonics & harvested wild herbs & purchased whole herbs from Pacific Botanicals. Thought I was smart but I WAS NOT. It's a humbling experience to know I DID NOT KNOW. And even when William spoke to me - was it more than a year ago? about it I tought I knew enough, did not need his diet. People WAIT until they are REAL SICK - the 11th hour - then they take action. All I ask is that you LISTEN & STUDY these guys with an open mind - which I KNOW you HAVE NOT DONE! Because you have no counter argument except the empty wind of your words.

I have looked at several different sources on this topic this far, and I am still researching it. Again, no promises from me, but I will think about and and consider what you and these guys said to one degree or another.

All I'm asking is that yu do study sincerely & listen to the facts & then you can decide if you have a valid argument against their studies. But there is no valid argument so you cannot come up with one. If you do speak against it you will be like the Patrairchs who keep preaching meat & dairy & oil { all lies, beholden to industry money & / or ignorance} So I hope & pray for the best on your behalf. So OK for now, no more talk, but this is not over, lol. I will wait for you to give this work AN HONEST CHANCE.
